another quilt hanging on the gate
this gate seems to be the place to photograph my baby quilts. i finished this one last night.
here is the close up.
it is very similar to this quilt.
this one is for my mother to give as a gift to a new mom she knows. i also made a diaper pouch to go with it.

I liked the quilting motif, how do you get the swirls to be so regular? Do you pencil it in or freehand?

my quilting is freehand. i love doing these loopies. contrary to your comment my loops are not regular at all. they are actually very irregular. i do not have a steady hand so making loopies that are the same is impossible even i did draw lines( i’ve tried), so what i do is make them all just a bit different to add character to the quilt and keep me from going crazy.
